Mumford & Sons

This post has been long over due.

Cheers as we embarked upon a new year! With so many pictures yet to be uploaded, so many projects to take on in the coming months, so much to share!

So far, first concert of the year, opened with the incredible Mumford & Sons.

Tickets sold out within the first 20 minutes they went on sale, the search was treacherous, but with persistence was able to score tickets.

The Barclays center had a sold out house filled with 19,000 fans eagerly anticipating this performance.

From start till finish, Mumford & Sons had put on an amazing performance which was a holy experience. Captivated and lost in the explosive sound, there album cannot justify the brilliance of a live set.

Today is November 11, 2012. One year ago I made a decision to leave Korea and find my way as a filmmaker. This led me back to the states where I struggled to identify with “Home.” I had no idea how to proceed now that the film was finally finished.

“Do I move to Hollywood? Do I move back to…

Dale Carnegie
Are you bored with life? Then throw yourself into some work you believe in with all you heart, live for it, die for it, and you will find happiness that you had thought could never be yours.

After months of trial and error in various internships, I am finally in place where I have found joy in the work that I do. Currently, I am working with creatives brainstorming ideas for various commercials, creating story boards. What could be more intellectually stimulating? Collaborating with people which then turns into production, making these ideas come to life. This is what I find rewarding when your visions become reality. Everyday I am excited to wake up, do my morning run, and awaiting what the day has to offer. I’m excited to journey the unknown of what is yet to come but what I have yet to discover.

Knowing what you want is half the battle. Stay tenacious regardless of any obscurities coming your way.

Cheers for the Weekend!

Cheers for the weekend is here!
Its already the middle of November and I’m realizing there are only days left till the new year.
This week I’ve completed my app design for university career recruitment.

This was just the icon I created for the app.

Also, I met with Ron Skotarczak at a meeting in which he shared his first month experience working with Madison square garden. He was involved in closing a “monster” sponsor ship deal with chase, which has been successful for both companies. What I found remarkable is what he told Scott, the president of MSG Sports, when he was first hired.
“We will spectacularly succeed or spectacularly fail. Either way it’s going to be spectacular” -Ron

This past week I was invited to the opening night of The Rockettes Christmas Spectacular at radio city.

Complimentary tickets go hand in hand with complimentary champagne. This being my first experience attending, I thought it was amazing. I especially enjoyed the 3D experience and  how they utilized the side wall space of the theater by using digital mapping.

Today was a good way to end the work week. I was able to catch up with some much needed friend time. It astounds me in what time can do. Witnessing all my friends growing up. Catching up with friends, people whom I used to spend my everyday with. Sometimes we need to be brought back to the people that helped shaped the person we are today. It’s comforting to be in the presence of good company.

Overall, I looked up on the way home and thought I should share this message with
you.
